EAST HILL PLAZA SHOPPING CENTER
Project Snapshot
East Hill Plaza Shopping Center is the premier neighborhood shopping
center in the Town of Ithaca. Adjacent to Cornell University, it
provides retail services to students, staff and neighbors and provides
office space to university departments.
The 10 acre, 110,000 SF neighborhood shopping center was acquired and
redeveloped by Cornell University in 1984 to halt its deterioration,
protect nearby Cornell lands and for financial purposes.
The retail providers, anchored by the P&C Food Market, are critical
to the vitality of the adjacent neighborhood area, while the University Inn
Best Western provides the closest off-campus lodging available. In
addition to neighborhood services, the Plaza paid $380,000 in taxes in
2004.

- In response to
customer input, two shower/locker rooms have been constructed at the
east end of the building for use by EHP occupants. They are a
great place to clean-up after biking to work or working out.
