Does Cornell have any property for sale?
Cornell does sell off property that is excess to its institutional
needs. Property is usually listed for sale on this website and with the local Board of Realtors.

How can I get permission to hunt on land managed by Cornell Real
Estate?
Cornell Real Estate issues hunting permits for
one area only, the corner of Route 13 and
Hanshaw Road
in the Town of
Dryden
. Please submit a completed
hunting application, along with a copy of your NYS hunting license or backtag,
to Cynthia Kemp at
15 Thornwood Drive
for processing. The University
Police will then conduct a background check and make a determination
regarding issuance of a permit for this particular area.

How much land does Cornell own?
The central campus comprises about 745 acres. With the many
farms, pastures, woodlands and natural areas, the total in Tompkins County
is about 11,000 acres, or 4% of the counties lands. Cornell owns
6,000 acres elsewhere in New York and another 2,000 acres across the
country, for a total of 19,000 acres of land and buildings. The
University also owns more than 420,000 acres of mineral rights, mostly in
the central and southwestern states. Map
Can I get a map of Cornell lands?
Tax maps, available from the Tompkins County
Department of Assessment, are annotated to show Cornell lands.
How do I find out about employment with Cornell Real Estate?
Job openings in the department are listed through Cornell's Office of
Human Resources.
Can I list my apartment for rent with Cornell Real Estate?
The Real Estate Department does not list outside properties for rent.
Off-Campus Housing (607-255-5373) does provide a posting service.
Can I list my house for sale with Cornell Real Estate?
The Real Estate Department does not list non-Cornell properties for
sale. To sell your house, please contact your friendly, local real estate
broker.
